LYNDA STRAKER
VICE PRESIDENT
Lynda joined the ABA in 1996 during her 40 year career as a management professional for the federal government. As a member of the Long Island Duplicate Bridge Club and the Springfield Duplicate Bridge Club, she has held several offices, participated on various committees on the local and sectional level and was the President of the Metropolitan Bridge Unit from 2018 to 2022. Lynda is a certified ABA Bridge Teacher and was recently the National New Player Chairperson.
DONNA LEWIS
SECRETARY
Despite starting her duplicate bridge journey just three years ago, Ms. Donna Lewis has shown remarkable passion and dedication to the game and the American Bridge Association. As a second-generation player, she actively supports the Westbury DBC bridge games, ensuring a welcoming and well-equipped environment for its members.
Recently appointed Eastern Section Secretary, Ms. Lewis brings enthusiasm and determination to her new role, committed to strengthening the organization she deeply values.
RITA THOMPSON
TREASURER
Soon after retiring from a career as a legal management professional, Rita became a bridge player and joined the Duplicate Bridge Club of Mount Vernon. A member of the Metropolitan Bridge Unit, she is the editor for The Consumer, MBU's quarterly newsletter, and she served as Eastern Section Secretary from 2019-2022. An ABA Certified Bridge Instructor, Rita teaches bridge to retirees at the United Federation of Teachers Bronx Learning Center.
